THE LILYDALE VILLAGE MARKET IS PROUDLY PART OF THE LILYDALE FESTIVAL OF WOOD
16-17 March 2013 10am-4pm
This weekend sees the inaugural Festival of Wood come to Lilydale, celebrating the area's long tradition of wood working and showcasing local artisans.
The Lilydale Village Market will be supporting the Festival with the grounds open bot, Saturday 16 and Sunday17 March. Today, there'll be a face painter and shaved ice desserts for the kids. For the big kids, the our beer, wine and espresso bar will be open.
We're also celebrating a local beer artisan. Our bar features a special brew saison pale ale on tap from the Morrison Brewery, Mowbray. We're also serving Irish Red and Pale Honey Ale, Traditional and Dessert Honey Mead, local wine, local premium honey, and we'll have the 150 Years of Lilydale DVD on sale.
As part of the festival, Simon Ancher will be constructing a Lilydale Community Bench in the market grounds on both days. Our Sunday market will be one of our biggest ever, with new and regular stalls, including:
Wool spinning
Lions Club sausage sizzle
Sally Dawkins' food van with vegetarian specials and desserts
Furniture and tools
Mount Direction Olive oil
Jewellery
Sun catchers
Women's and children's clothing -
Wooden wares
Hair clips
